স্টেগানোগ্রাফি(Steganography) কি?

 

স্টেগানোগ্রাফি শব্দের আক্ষরিক অর্থ লুকানো লেখা। কোনো বার্তা অন্য কোন ছবি, ভিডিও (এমনকি অন্য কোনো বার্তা)র মধ্যে লুকিয়ে রাখা, ও সেখান থেকে ফিরে পাওয়ার পদ্ধতিকে স্টেগানোগ্রাফি বলে।
আমরা ছোটকালে বিভিন্ন গোয়েন্দা গল্পে কোন কাগজে “অদৃশ্য কালি” দিয়ে মেসেজ লেখার কথা পড়েছি। নিশ্চয়ই? আগুনের উপরে ধরলে অদৃশ্য লেখা ফুটে ওঠে।
এই হল স্টেগানোগ্রাফির চমৎকার উদাহরণ।
ক্রিপ্টোগ্রাফি বা সংকেতলিপি আর স্টেগানোগ্রাফি বা গুপ্তলিপি খুব কাছাকাছি, ক্রিপ্টোগ্রাফির উদ্দেশ্য হল বার্তাটিকে সাংকেতিক ভাবে লেখা, যাতে সধারণ লোকে পড়ে উদ্ধার করতে না পারে। আর স্টেগানোগ্রাফির উদ্দেশ্য হল একটা বার্তা যে রয়েছে, সে ব্যাপারটাকেই লুকিয়ে ফেলা।

 

কিভাবে ইমেজ এর মাধ্যমে সিক্রেট মেসেজ স্টেগানোগ্রাফি করা হয় Steghide টুল দিয়ে?

 

Go to kali terminal
> sudo su
> apt install steghide
> man steghide
(Have a look into the tool)

> steghide –help
(See the necessary commands)

 

Now pick an image and create a txt file with hidden message

 

let’s hide secret message into an image :

> steghide -cf /home/kali/Desktop/file.jpg -ef /home/kali/Desktop/textfile.txt -sf cmbd.jpg -p 1234
(cf = cover file, ef = embedded file, sf = stego file/ combined file, p = password)

 

let’s see secret message into an image :

> steghide extract -sf cmbd.jpg -xf cmbd.txt -p 1234
(sf = stego file/ combined file, xf = extract file)

 

Let’s get the secret message :

> Go kali directory and get the cmbd.txt file > open it and get the secret message
Or
> cat cmbd.txt
